Someone with way too much time on his hands made these way-cool speakers for his wife’s iPod.
Wow.
Taken at the dock at sunset during my in-laws 25th Wedding Anniversary party.
Overlawyered.com explores an American legal system that too often turns litigation into a weapon against guilty and innocent alike, erodes individual responsibility, rewards sharp practice, enriches its participants at the public’s expense, and resists even modest efforts at reform and accountability.
I’m adding this one to my blog links. I hate the fact that there are so many lawsuits over stupid things. People need more common sense (which, sadly, isn’t very common) and need to take personal responsibility for their own actions.
And suing people or companies for “emotional distress” is a joke. Just suck it up people!
We had a 25th wedding anniversary party for my in-laws this weekend and the kids were goofing around while I was taking photos.
One of them threw a dinosaur head right as I snapped the photo. It think it’s hilarious. Do you think there is a Flickr tag for these kinds of photos?
This video clip features the top five movie trailer voice-over talents in the industry and is hilarious!
The original Boing Boing story is here.
The 2005 Ironbutt Rally started on Monday, Aug 22nd.
This is the infamous 11 day, 11,000 mile motorcycle rally. As much as I think it would be fun to attempt this event, I know I don’t have the stamina nor the funds to do so.
So I armchair participate by reading Bob Higdon’s reports.
This year there is a new feature. Thirteen of the riders are using the Star-Traxx satelite tracking system on their bikes and you can see where all thirteen of them are and where they have been by following this link. It’s pretty cool. Right now, six are in the West Coast area, two are in New Brunswick, Canada and four are in Florida (one is currently heading back from Key West.)
I believe that one of the thirteen was a Did Not Start.
I have a friend (Bob Waitz) whom I met through motorcycling. He’s a true motorhead.
He just got back from the Bonneville Salt Flats where he and some friends were racing their ’55 Studebaker!
You can read all about the craziness here.
ItPlaysDoom is a site dedicated to cataloging all the devices that the original Doom FPS game has been ported to.
You can even play it on some digital camera displays!
Fun!
This is a really interesting idea. IMSAI, who built “the first” consumer personal computer (an S100 Buss machine with an 8080 processor) is now releasing the Series Two system.
This machine looks like the original IMSAI computer including the cool front panel switches. Inside the case is an old-school eZ80 powered S100 Buss machine AND room for an ATX motherboard.
It would appear that you can run CP/M on the S100 Buss side and connect a cable to the ATX motherboard for communication between them.
I actually have an old IMSAI 8080 case (but not the guts anymore) in my basement somewhere. It’s probably sitting next to my Osbourne Executive…
