We had a big storm in the Twin Cities area last night. They were reporting 70 MPH straight line winds in the Northern suburbs. A couple of my co-workers lost power and had trees down.
We were watching the storm on the channel 4 radar and it pretty much stayed North of I-94. We live South of I-94 by about a mile and all we got was some wind and a bit of rain.
But the best part was when the worst part of the storm reached Shoreview, where most of the local TV station towers are, and then channels 4 and 2 went off the air.
Oops.
And for some reason, my Cisco 678 DSL router died. It looks like it’s trying to train up and never does – just like the last one died. Maybe I need a surge supressor on the phone line? Anyway, I plugged in my (crappy) ActionTec and we are on line again.
